FOR FAILING TO BLOCK SHELL KAJJANSI FROM CONSTRUCTION, UMEME SHOULD RE-LOCATE ITS STATION.

It surprises me that you get an infrastructure dangerously located next to a UMEME power station and UMEME failed to block it and it is set to supply fuel to those who need it.
I wish to advise that since UMEME failed to block this development, they should urgently see to the re-location of their power infrastructure.  Many should be aware that the State House power infrastructure passes at this power station.
I have witnessed the power blow at this station, and I simply don’t understand how this station could be located at where it is among all possible alternatives

SHELL STATION ABOVE KAJJANSI POWER SUB- STATION CANNOT BE!

Dear all,

It is just this morning that I have observed that the new Shell Station at Kajjansi is just above the Kajjansi Power Sub - station.

Surely, there is no way this can be.  Just the week that has ended, there was some fire in that sub - station at around 3.00 pm.  There is no way we can have technical people who over look this type of developments which are destructive to the community.

Hopefully, this station will be stopped.

Mario Remigious, any info on this development? If not, please visit this location and provide some urgent feedback ie is it within our way leaves corridor? Have they applied for power yet?

Colleagues,
I don’t think UNRA approved this petro station. It is the
responsibility of NEMA to approve petro stations after
consulting concerned bodies including UNRA. I am sure we
were not consulted in this regard. We are going to visit the
site today and look at the documents at the site and if they
are not genuine, we may swing into action and block the
 access road.

Good day all,
The issue of this petro station had been my obsession since 2010 when they started
initial earth work. I wanted back then to serve the developer with a notice but the neighbours claimed they did not have his contacts. When later resumed construction, I visited the site with Trevor. I saw documents of approval
from all concerned bodies including UNRA & they wanted
approval from Umeme after all works were done.

No such approval could be given & we talked to the site foreman about this, expressing our safety concerns.  They are only sandwiched between Ebb line1&2 but also dangerously close to the substation. Trevor, i hope this is
still the position & we have not given them
supply.

To the best of my knowledge, this developer
knows 'we don’t have teeth', so he just ignored
umeme. Clearly the hazards stare in your face when you visit
the place.

Regards
Mario
