On Tuesday, April 2, World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim will discuss the ambitious goal of ending extreme poverty within a generation in a speech titled, "Within Our Grasp: A World Free of Poverty." President Kim will touch upon the need for a concerted effort by developing countries, donors, and development partners toward supporting equitable and inclusive growth, working effectively in fragile and conflict-affected states, and fighting climate change to secure development gains. President Kim will deliver this speech, hosted by Georgetown University’s Office of the President, in the run-up to the World Bank/IMF Spring Meetings that will be taking place in Washington, D.C.
