I must say that it is great that the death
spot at Kitende has been worked on, thanks for the response and good
work. Below is the impression of the area before being worked on.
I wish to appeal to the Ministry of Works or Uganda National Roads
Authority to work on the danger spot above. As you drive from Kampala
past Kajjansi, before Kitende Secondary School there is that danger
spot. The moment a vehicle gets at that spot, be sure death is all that
awaits. The concerned authorities should move fast and see that
something is done so that the area is enclosed in a protective manner
for the safety of road users.
I wish to put your attention to the above junction which I am presenting
for the 2nd time. This is a deadly place which needs the following:
1. A STOP Sign Post for vehicles from the side of the Air Strip which is
yet to be put in place.
2. The road from the junction as one continues to Bweya and Janyi is
very narrow just at the junction yet immediately after the junction it
widens out. There is urgent need to widen the area where culverts were
put, other wise, given the traffic which is increasing on this road, the
chances of accidents at this place may not be ruled out.
