A CHILD BREAKS HER LIMB AT SCHOOL AND THE RESPONSIBILITY OF TREATMENT IS LEFT TO THE CARE OF THE PARENT OF THE ONE WHO WAS CHESSING HER!

Things happen in Uganda and many are surprising.  A child chesses her friend who called her a pig, and in the process, the one being chessed falls down breaks her hand and the school follows up to the parent of the one who was chessing and leaves her to handle the patient.

My opinion is that a child while at school is in the hands of the school administration.  In case one child chesses the other and accidently the one being chessed falls down, this is an accident.  The school should take the responsibility of taking the injured child to the nearest Government health facility that can handle the case.  In the case I am referring to, this is Entebbe Grade B Hospital.  If our UPE schools cannot even handle such cases, my opinion is that they close.  Otherwise, I don't see how the school leaves such a burden to a parent when the children were in the normal course of playfulness.
