Spokesperson of Kampala City Traders Association (KACITA) Isa Sekito (2nd right) called on parliament to investigate reports that senior staff of Uganda Revenue Authority including commissioners stealing taxes and are helping people to evade taxes after getting bribes.

Sekito made the remarks while speaking during a media seminar on tax policies and practices at Grand imperial hotel in Kampala.
He said that some of URA staff has accumulated wealth which they cannot account for, since they involve in bribes from tax evaders.
Sekito said that URA is now having incompetent staff that cannot push for widening tax base.
