THE ISSUE OF MULAGO NURSES EVICTION FROM THE HOSTEL CALLS FOR JUSTICE

The employers at Mulago Hospital are in a better position to understand the situation the staff are in.  In which case, one would least expect them to make irrational decisions.  1st of all, if it is one of the terms of employment that the nurses are entitled to accommodation in a hostel, it is very wrong to go around and start chasing them.  What the administration should do is possibly to call upon private developers to put up a new hostel infrastructure for the students they want to admit.  It is public knowledge the peanuts the nurses get from Government.  One wonder how they make ends meet, but they are still able to report to duty and serve the patients.  What will happen when they are thrown out of the hostel?  Where is the money they are going to use for rent?  Where is the transport?

It is of utmost importance for people in administration positions to always act responsibly and have the people employed in mind.

It is hoped that Mulago Hospital administration will see sense and leave the nurses in the hostel where they currently reside.
