On the morning of 26th February 2014, after information from Nassali who was the care taker of Brother Kafeero was he was in very bad shape, I travelled to Mulago Cancer Institute. I met some close relatives of Brother Kafeero. He was on Oxygen, but all hope had gone. It seemed he had started getting cold. I thanked God for the time I had got with Brother Kafeero and that he knew me as a friend.
I got home, prepared for a long journey to Mt. St. Teresa to have my last respects for a man of God who I saw slowly get to his end. When I arrived at Kisubi, I was informed that the Brother had been pronounced dead.
I made the communication below to SMACK OBs:
This is to inform all members of St. Mary's College Kisubi Community that our former Headmaster (1980 - 1983) - Brother (Dr) Cosmas Kiwanuka Kafeero has died. The body will stay overnight at Mt. St. Teresa Kisubi.
Burial arrangements will be communicated later.
I am at Kisubi to help if possible in working on the Requiem Mass booklet.
I thank God that I was able to work on the Requiem Booklet of Brother Kafeero.
