ALTERNATIVE TALLY CENTRES OKAY

Each of the candidates whether Presidential or otherwise is entitled to a copy of the Results Declaration Form (RDF) or Tally Sheet (TS) duly signed by all candidates’ representatives at each of the Polling centres and the Presiding Officer.

It is the duty of each of the candidates to tally his/her results and be able to compare with those of the Electoral Commission.

Therefore, the tallying exercise cannot be illegal.  The candidate is NOT authorized to announce his/her results, but can challenge the Electoral Commission through the stipulated procedures.
