There is evidence that while some teachers and other categories of
Civil servants continue on with no salary payments, Government is
meanwhile meeting the loan installments of some of those who have not
got salary for a number of months now. This is evidence that the failed
salary payments are a deliberate effort by Government given
the liquidity problems Government has. While this situation is as it
is, Government is able to meet money to the youth (loans) which is a
miscalculation on the part of Government. The issue of salaries is a
standing order which Government has to meet without failure.
This revelation has been given by CBS 88.8 FM Sunday Programme at past 2pm.
It is most unfortunate that Government seems to disregard the crucial services of the Civil servants which means that service delivery will remain poor given that the salaries are low which is no incentive already.
