IN A PERIOD OF LESS THAN A MONTH, I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO WOULD LOVE TO GET TRUSTABLE PEOPLE THEY CAN DO BUSINESS WITH. I WISH MANY OF THE YOUTH CONCETRATE ON SUCH EFFORTS. MY FACEBOOK HAS SO MANY WHO WANT PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH.

If we can have a way of encouraging that type of people to open shop in Uganda and do things from here, I think we shall have scored. I advise fellow Ugandans who can to exploit those opportunities.

THE LOCALS IN SSISA SUB - COUNTY WHERE THE CONSTRUCTION OF ENTEBBE EXPRESSWAY IS ON GOING ARE HAVING A PROBLEM AS BRIDGES HAVE NOT BEEN PROPERLY WORKED ON TO ENABLE HUMAN TRAFFIC MOVE WITH EASE.

The water is draining through. A lot of soil has been deposited inside and it is difficult to move through in the rainy season.
Where that child has reached, one finds it hard to pass even when on bicycle.
The water draining away is easily seen.

BETTER HANDLING OF FINANCES IN GOVERNMENT UNIVERSITIES

There has been excitement since 1992 when the private sponsorship scheme became a reality at Makerere University. Professors and lecturers have had to manage the dual role of lecturing and financial management which development has brought a lot of conflict, more so that many poor income earning units have been at a disadvantage. Time is now to rectify this situation. the Government of Uganda should get the finance departments in these Universities perform as would be a commercial bank. These should be capable of balancing each days work and also handle approved claims for fiances from the various University units. The finance Unit could be manned by a deputy vice chancellor fiance. In fact a fully fledged finance unit should be better able to manage student finance problems, even issue loans and also allow students to complete studies when certain conditions are met and as such reduce on inconveniences of students who would otherwise complete studies if there were able people to better manage the finances of these Universities. It is absurd that some complaint are raised that some University monies are banked on accounts which are not official. This should allow lecturers to deal with teaching and related roles

TUESDAY MAY 24th 2016 SAW A GROUP CELEBRATION OF BIRTHDAYS BY A NUMBER OF CHILDREN BORN IN DECEMBER TO MAY INCLUSIVE.

It was a total of 10 children who celebrated birthday. It is true some children get no opportunity of having their birthday's celebrated. At Bweya Children"s Home, an effort is made to see children birthdays celebrated in groups as in this particular function.
Naphtal told the children that as they grow, they have to be well behaved so that they can make good useful citizens who will be beneficial to society when they are grown up.

HON. NOBERT MAO THE PRESIDENT GENERAL OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS ONE PERSON WHO IS MISSING IN THE 10th PARLIAMENT DUE TO FUNNY TECHNICALITIES.

I AM ONE OF THOSE OPPOSED TO PLANTING OF EUCALYPTUS AND PINE TREES WHERE THERE OTHER OPTIONS INCLUDING FRUIT AND HARD WOOD TREES.

Eucalyptus trees take a lot of water from the ground. In fact they easily drain a swamp.
Though some people talk well about the quality of Pine wood, I believe there is other wood that can serve the purpose instead of Pine.

MR. HENRY & MRS TRUDY KIZITO PICTORIAL.

Not many years ago, Henry Kizito was at Higher School at Kajjansi Trading Centre in Wakiso district of Uganda. Life was not easy. At least I remember that he loved being part of Kitende Church of Uganda Parish Church Choir. After HSC, he wanted some work. I do not remember very well whether I was the one who advised him to meet Engineer Ssenkungu who by then was working with British American Tobacco Company at Kampala. The meeting was fruitful and Kizito got vocational employment. Later, he told me that he was doing some work with New Vision. Then I learnt he was wedding at Namirembe Cathedral.
Children with grandpa Christopher Mukasa
Today, Kizito has something to show for his working career in life. I have known him as a generous guy who remembers those that helped him up. One lesson I learn is that as God creates us, we are never equal. Each has his opportunities, however, most of us have to endure a lot before we make it in life.

WHAT A HARVEST OF TOMATOES?

FACT OR FICTION - ARE THESE MANGOES FROM ONE TREE?

SO MANY IRRESPONSIBLE THINGS DRIVERS DO ON UGANDA ROADS.

1. Sin number one is driving while the attention is on the mobile phone. If there is no way to curb this irresponsible behaviour, many are in danger. 2. Recklessness with a lot of arrogance while on the road. 3. Failing to give a right sign before undertaking anything where they should. 4. Eating while they drive. 5. Not observing signs on the road. The above and many others.

ARE YOU AN MP IN UGANDA'S 10th PARLIAMENT?

BLESSED ARE YOU IF YOU ARE NOT IN MUSEVENI'A CABINET BECAUSE: 1. Your constituents will not decide to punish you instead of Museveni for his failures hence not vote you come the 2021 General Elections. 2. You will not find yourself in a situation where because of collective responsibility, you cannot disclose the identity of "power from above" on whose instructions you acted hence leading the country to loss of colossal amounts of money for which you have to go to Luzira. 3. You will not be humiliated as a Minister when you have to work on instructions strictly from State House. 4. You will just have to follow the President when he goes to inaugurate a project under your office which you should have inaugurated. 5. You will not stand to be blamed for projects that failed to achieve their objectives simply because funds were not released or just a fraction was available and the other lot diverted. 6. You will not be humiliated publicly for failing to deliver given that you are supposed to implement what the President has endorsed. The Ministers in Uganda have to know that though they are assigned the various portfolios, the powers regarding what has to be implemented remain with the State House hence they remain like stooges.

THE GAMBLES BY MAJOR GENERAL MUHOOZI'S FATHER HAVE PAID OFF. WILL IT BE SO FOR THE SON?

HOW TO MAKE ALOE VERA AT HOME

By Simon Nyambura
<simon.njugunan@gmail.com>

Instructions

Aloe Vera Gel is one of the easiest natural cosmetics to be made at home and is known for its properties to cool the skin and help against acne, minor burns and itchy rashes. While ready-made products only contain small amounts of actual Aloe Vera and instead a lump sum of unwanted, often skin irritating chemicals, you can be sure to use a perfectly organic and hundred percent natural product, if you make your own Aloe Vera Gel at home.

Take about 2-3 leaves of a fresh Aloe Vera plant. If you don’t have a plant at home, you can nowadays get the leaves cut and packed in many supermarkets or organic stores. I personally highly recommend growing Aloe Vera at home. It is an extreme resistant and easy to grow plant that only requires a warm, half-sunny place and watering every few days. Only like this you can be sure to be using a pesticide free product - and after all that is what we want for our sensitive skin!
1. Cut the leaf with a sharp knife close to the stem. The yellow liquid that comes out of the cut tissue can be skin irritating, so make sure you wash your Aloe Vera leaves ell before further processing.
2. Cut along the flat side of the leaf and carefully lift it up like a lid. You then can easily scratch out the content of the leaf with a teaspoon directly into your blender. Just make sure you have washed your hands well before dealing with the Aloe Vera Gel so that it will stay fresh longer. If small pieces of leaf tissue (green chunks in your otherwise clear gel) have fallen into the blender, just remove them with a clean spoon before adding the other ingredients.
Make sure the unprocessed Aloe Vera Gel is clear and not discoloured, otherwise dispose it and try a fresh leaf.

The unprocessed Aloe Vera Gel should be clear
3. You then add the content of 1 Vitamin E capsule into the blender which will enhance the positive effects of the Aloe Gel on your skin. Crush 1 Vitamin C pill and add it – this will help to preserve your gel longer. The Vitamins we have used in this recipe were bought at a regular pharmacy and contain 400mg of Vitamin E and 500mg of Vitamin C.
Vitamin E will be liquid inside the capsule, while the Vitamin C needs to be crushed
Add a few drops of rosewater before the blending

4. We now usually add about 1 tbsp Rosewater – you can vary according to the desired intensity of the scent. If you can’t find Rosewater in your normal supermarket, try a local Asian, Iranian or Indian shop – you should be able to easily find it. The Rosewater is simply serving the purpose of enhancing the scent, as the pure gel can have a grassy and slightly unpleasant smell. Feel free to try other scents and share your results with the community!

5. Now blend the mix for only a few seconds, to avoid making it to watery. As you can see we have made only a very small quantity, as we prefer to make our Gel fresh every other week. But you can of course make a bit larger quantities, too, just add respectively more Vitamin C, E and Rosewater.

Our home-made pure Aloe Vera Gel is now ready and can be filled into any clean airtight container, preferably glass.

You can now keep your Aloe Vera Gel for about 2 months in the fridge.
Aloe Vera Gel is known for its excellent ability to penetrate the human skin and thus re-hydrate it. It further more has positive effects on acne, can be used to treat sunburn and is even said to regenerate hair follicles. While we haven't tried all of its properties ourselves, we can certainly say that it has a great effect on our skin, makes us look and feel rejuvenated and has helped me against itchy rashes and even mosquito bites. It several time has helped me to get rid of annoying sleep lines in a matter of minutes. Especially in hot summers the cold gel out of the fridge is like putting a relaxing face-mask on!

The main advantage of making the Aloe Vera Gel at home, is that you can be absolutely sure what is in it. Many ready-made products have only a minuscule amount of pure Aloe in it and will most likely not do you much good.

8 MONTHS SO FAR LOST SINCE UGANDA GOT INTO THE EXCITEMENT OF ELECTIVE POLITICS: WHAT IS THE WAY FORWARD?

By October 2015, the country was in mood for the start of elective politics. Since then, the business climate has been negatively impacted on given the uncertainty of the outcome. It has been the experience of such weather that has seen roads washed away and generally minimal returns from tax collections.
Uganda has serious debt obligations to service given the cost of funds borrowed to get infrastructural undertakings. If resources from good business are not realized, this will be at the expense of development and social service delivery.
Time is now to get strategies that can fine tune businesses as well as get people to spend little time on politicking.
The key players in this are:
1. His Excellence the President of Uganda.
2. The Prime Minister,
3. Religious Leaders,
4. Civil society players
5. The East African Community
6. The donors.

THOUGH I AM SO MUCH OPPOSED TO MUSEVENI BEING PRESIDENT BEYOND 3 DECADES, I BELIEVE HE COULD STILL WIN IN A FREE AND FAIR ELECTION.

 Museveni could still win a free election given what is on ground.
The reasons are:

1. I do not think it is by accident that NRM has majority Members in Parliament, so logically if that is so, chances are that one who elected an NRM MP would have a big chance to have voted Museveni;
2. President Museveni has so much to show to the peasant Ugandan that he greatly helps them to manage. I have been to a USE school in Wakiso district with four streams per class. Three quarters of these children have near to free education. There are also many in primary section who have no fee worth mentioning that they pay to schools;
3. It is wrong to ignore the impact of the billions Museveni used while in campaigns. It is locals who get some big amount and or free T - shirts as a result.
4. It is true that in a number of places the major roads have been bad and as of now, one may take a quarter the time they used to;
5. A number of locals still call to Government assistance for planting materials (seeds).
6. The experience of both the 1979 as well as the 5 year Bush war left scars on a number of families. The people have the fear of risking the uncertainty.
The opposition in Uganda has come out a great deal to show Museveni's bad side, but the rationale of the poor Ugandan is that the man may be seen bad by those who have something, but to him the poor guy, Museveni is stii saviour.
In short, the opposition in Uganda has a big task to deal with and defeat the Museveni infrastructure where the party and state organs have been fused.
Merely preaching the bad of President Museveni may not help to get NRM out of the Presidency. Bigger joint strategies have to come into being to show that the opposition can be united as a joint force before an election. The joint opposition should be seen to deliver for the poor. It is not impossible for the opposition to get agents of change who can work in villages as extension workers. It is not impossible to get health clinics to the people
It is not impossible to mobilize as opposition to build school structures.
When people see unity of opposition and eventually the understanding to field one opposition candidate as well as the opposition featuring in the betterment of their lives, chances that the NRM may be on the journey to exit may then be real.
