KAJJANSI MOURNS THE PASSING ON OF GEORGE MUKASA NKANGI WHO HAS BEEN A MAN OF THE PEOPLE

16th December 1944 - 5th May 2016

Nkangi as he has popularly been known at Kajjansi (Kitende parish) and Ssisa sub - county has been a son of the area.
He was born on 16th December 1944 to Levi Mukasa Bakilese and Norah Nabaggala of Makandwa (Ssisa Sub - county).

He married Testy Kabaseke on 22nd August 1981.

He went to Kitende Church of Uganda Primary School up to P6.
Joined Aggrey Memorial School.
Went to study Accounts.

George Mukasa Nkangi started his working career with Public Works Department (PWD) in the Ministry of Works on JInja Road.
He was transferred to Fort Portal then Mbarara then to Prime Minister's Office as an Accountant.
He was then posted to Prisons as Accountant.
In 2005 he retired from Government service.

He got involved in self employment.

Got married on 22nd August 1981.

He has been having roles in his clan.
In the Church he has held positions including Treasurer for Kitende Parish Church for a long time.
He was Chairman Board of Governors Kitende Secondary School for a long time.

He has been Diabetic and also with Pressure for a number of years.

He passed on at Mulago Hospital on Thursday 5th May 2016.
